Helpful Tips

Sometimes you just need a little help or a few insider tips to get rolling, literally. Here you’ll find a few product-specific hints and suggestions that will help you and your little one on your way to fun in no time!

Bikes & Trikes

1. HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS HANDY
An adjustable wrench, a Phillips screwdriver, Allen wrenches in 4, 5 and 6mm sizes, an open-end 15mm wrench or pedal wrench, and a Schraeder-type tire pump.

2. CLEAR WORKSPACE
Remove all packaging from the product leaving a clean space in which to work with all parts and tools within reach.

3. LUBRICATE
White lithium-based grease is used to lubricate moving parts, particularly where metal rubs against metal, and is especially handy when assembling your bike. Please refer to the Service Checklist and other important assembly and maintenance information in your product’s owner’s manual.

4. STRAIGHTEN YOUR RIDE
It’s important to make sure the handlebar and seat are both straight. Look from above the bike to make sure the seat is lined up with the frame and the handlebar is perpendicular with the front tire. Refer to your manual for more detailed instructions on making the required adjustments.

Electric Ride-Ons

1. TEST THE CONNECTIONS
Before connecting the motor (white) and battery (red) wires, ensure that the prongs inside the connectors are straight prior to snapping into place. If they are twisted or bent, the vehicle won’t start as there isn’t any power coming through the connectors.

2. THE 3-STEP CHECK
You can rely on the 3-step check to make sure that your ride-on has power and is ready for use.

3. GOT POWER?
If you plug in the charger and it lights up “green,” you should be good to go. If it doesn’t, you likely need to charge the product before use. If the product’s battery is fully charged and it still doesn’t have power, check to make sure the prongs inside the connectors are not twisted or bent. Please refer to the owner’s manual and any other literature accompanying your product.
