Family Valentine’s Day Breakfast!

February — the month of love and the Super Bowl! Which is a bigger deal in your family?

We know that there is a lot of pressure surrounding this holiday! You have to make Valentine’s Day cards and boxes for your little ones, get an even better gift than you got last year for your sweetie, and not let them see your disappointed face when they forget to give you a gift. It is a lot!

We thought a simple family Valentine’s Day breakfast would be a sweet tradition to start with your family! Below we share some yummy recipes and an adorable little game to play with your family!

Supplies needed for Sweetheart Cinnamon Rolls:

  • 13 oz Can of Cinnamon Rolls
  • Sprinkles
  • 8" Round Non-Stick Pan

Remove cinnamon roll dough and place into the pan, shaping the rolls into a heart shape. Follow the baking directions on the packaging. Pull the rolls out of the oven and add icing while still warm. Garnish with pink sprinkles!

Supplies needed for Bacon Hearts:

  • 1 Pound of Bacon
  • Baking Sheet

Remove bacon from packaging and cut each slice in half. Take two halves and shape into a heart. Repeat until the baking sheet is full and bake at 400° for 15-25 minutes.

Supplies needed for Valentine Fruit Wands:

  • Watermelon
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Wooden Skewers

Cut the melon and strawberries into smaller bite size pieces. Add two blueberries to the skewer, followed by a strawberry, two more blueberries and a melon.

It is extremely important that your little ones feel loved and this day is a great day to remind them just how much you love them! We encourage you to go in a circle and say one thing that you love about each family member at the table. This is great for any age and will help everyone start the day off feeling so loved and full!
